On 23 January 2023 the European Commission launched a public consultation on the reform of the European Union’s electricity market design to better protect consumers from excessive price volatility, support their access to secure energy from clean sources, and make the market more resilient.
NEMOs are welcoming the consultation and the ambition to further develop the electricity market in the EU. NEMOs collected their responses to the open questions, and submitted an answer to the consultation on 13 February 2023.
