2025 annual trading data available
In the first month of 2026 Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) set two records in the traded volumes, on Day-ahead and Intraday market (Continuous trading mechanism) segments.
The traded volumes on the Day-ahead market segment in January 2026 amounted to 2 881 781.2 MWh (a growth of 10 % on a monthly basis). In January, a new daily record in the traded volumes on Day-ahead market segment for 27th January 2026 (delivery day) was also set. The total traded volumes on this mechanism amounted to 107 207,43 MWh – 3 % more than the previous record of 104 445.80 MWh for delivery day 14th January 2024.
On the Intraday market segment the traded volumes reached 665 583,4 MWh, which is 11% more than December 2025.
The total traded volume on Day-ahead segment for 2025 also recorded a growth of 2.6 % on an annual basis. The traded volume on the Intraday market segment also marked a sustainable growth in 2025, where the total traded volume on Intraday continuous mechanism for 2025 reached 3 319 840.1 MWh.
