Dear market participants,
Pursuant to Commission Decision (EU) 2025/1771 of 8 September 2025 on fees due to the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators for its tasks under Regulation (EU) No 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council and repealing Commission Decision (EU) 2020/2152l repealing Commission Decision (EU) 2020/2152, new fees have been introduced to cover ACER’s increasing operational expenditures as a result of the amendments introduced by Regulation (EU) 2024/1106. Amendments to the Regulation include extension of the scope of reporting obligations to new categories of market participants and strengthening of supervisory and investigation powers as defined under Articles 13-13c and Article 16 of Regulation (EU) No. 1227/2011.
The newly introduced fees will serve to ensure the long-term funding of ACER, and will lead to an increase in the quality of services that the Agency provides to data reporting entities, as well as to market participants in general. Further detailed information will be provided to the persons responsible for electronic invoices.
