All NEMOs publish CACM Annual Report 2021 on intraday and day-ahead coupling

The fourth CACM Annual Report, prepared by the Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMOs) in cooperation with Transmission System Operators (TSOs), monitors the implementation of the Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management Regulation (CACM Regulation) and the associated Algorithm methodology.

The CACM Annual Report 2021 has been published on the All NEMO Committee website, today, Friday 1st July.

The report provides a comprehensive overview of the Single Day-Ahead Coupling (SDAC) and Single Intraday Coupling (SIDC) operations in 2021 and gives a broad outline of the current and future performance of market coupling algorithms and R&D activities undertaken.

The European Market Coupling has shown itself not only to be part of the solution, but key to achieving the efficient decarbonisation of the economy,” says Rafael Gómez-Elvira González, Chairman of the All NEMO Committee.

The CACM Annual Report 2021 summarises the work achieved by NEMOs and TSOs in the day-ahead and intraday coupling projects to ensure successful operation of market coupling solutions. A regular and transparent assessment of their operations and performance is key to supporting the ultimate goal of all projects – an effective integrated EU energy market.

The All NEMO Committee has organised a physical event, which can also be joined online, on the CACM Annual Report 2021, to be held in September. The exact date and agenda will be published soon.
