All NEMOs publish CACM Annual Report 2024 on intraday and day-ahead coupling

The CACM Annual Report, prepared by the Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMOs) in cooperation with Transmission System Operators (TSOs), monitors the implementation of the Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management Regulation (CACM Regulation) and the associated Algorithm methodology.

The CACM Annual Report 2024 was published on the All NEMO Committee website on 1st July.

The report provides a comprehensive overview of the Single Day-Ahead Coupling (SDAC) and Single Intraday Coupling (SIDC) operations in 2024 and gives a broad outline of the current and future performance of market coupling algorithms and R&D activities undertaken.

Starting from 2025 (applicable to CACM Annual Report 2024), the SIDC section of the report is enhanced with data on Intraday Auctions (IDAs) launched in June 2024. Further to that, the Scalability Report will be a separate publication expected by the end of September each year.

The CACM Annual Report 2024 summarises the work achieved by NEMOs and TSOs in the day-ahead and intraday coupling projects to ensure successful operation of market coupling solutions. A regular and transparent assessment of their operations and performance is key to supporting the ultimate goal of all projects – an effective integrated EU energy market.

The All NEMO Committee is organizing a physical event, the third NEMO Committee Annual Conference, which can also be joined online, on the CACM Annual Report 2024, to be held on 24 September 2025 in Brussels. For more information, follow the conference information page.
